Come one, come all to see pictures from the PAX Costume Contest! At long last, we’ve gone through all of the pictures from the show and have posted the winning entry (originally announced from the Exhibition hall floor on Sunday, August 31). Plus, we wanted to show you some of our other favorite entries.

First of all, kudos to Courtney M. for taking home the grand prize for her winning entry of a matching Carl and Carla. The costumes were, of course, very well-made, but what really drew the judges’ attention were the accessories.



The rakes were wonderfully hand-crafted, and Courtney included an “inventory bag” for herself and her partner (John H.), from which they could pull various buff/de-buff potions and other combat items. That’s Joel (game series producer) below holding up a bottle of TEC-TONIC Brand Strength Beverage. Really, a job well done!



The judges were totally blown away by the variety and creativity of the entries, making the choice of the grand prize winner very difficult. Therefore, special recognition also goes to

Our Fruit Friend extraordinaire, with wind-up key and glowing eyes.



Our mime/Silent God with a copy of the Necrowombicon and an interpreter







Our urinologist, whose jar and Sin Wheel accessories made everyone want to wash their hands twice.



Our masked Anne-Claire, complete with Fuchsia and Soul Extractor.



Plus, we got to see quite a few Gabes and Tychos like these…
